Movie Review- ‘About Last Night’

The other night I went to an advanced screening of 'About Last Night' with my best friend and Mom. ‘About Last Night’ is a fast-paced romantic comedy about two couples navigating this thing called love. From dating, to relationships to crazy sex …it is all in this movie. This movie was not only well directed but well cast. Kevin Hart literally had me in tears laughing!

This movie hits theaters on Valentine’s Day. It’s the perfect movie to see with your boo or girls. -Angelle

Faith is our foundation and who we are at our core. We are grateful for all that we have been blessed with including our family, friends, material possessions and life experiences. We like sharing our faith, hearing about faith, walking in love, trusting God and encouraging others.

 We are "girls girls" in a 2014 world, our foundation is our Faith but we are still 80s babies navigating through the modern world of dating, finance, fashion, fitness, family, friends, cooking, vacations, tv and everything else your typical twenty somethings experience and we do it so fabulous and chic.

Windshield Wiper Prayer

Getting in my car for lunch today I noticed a piece of paper under my windshield wiper.  It was a prayer! It brightened my day, hope it brightens yours. -Angelle

The Gift of Singleness

A while back the single ministry at my church had a workshop titled ‘the Gift of Singleness’. My Pastor and First Lady spoke to us about being a Christian and single. One of the best quotes from the night came from my Pastor, “If you despise where you are, you will have problems trying to get where you are going”.

Notes from the workshop:

What is the gift of singleness? The gift of singleness is FREEDOM

F- focus on friendships/relationships

R- reach your career goals

E- enjoy life

E- experiment new things

D- disregard naysayers

O- optimistic and open

M- me/be you

“He (God) will give you the desires of your heart, but you have to have him (God) in your heart.”

My take away from the workshop was to enjoy your life no matter what state (single or in a relationship) you are in! -Angelle 

No Social Media

I try to do a fast for the first 21 days of the year. Like last year I decided to give up social media. I’m not a social media junky per se…but I am an Instagram fiend. Giving up twitter and Facebook has been a walk in the park, my struggle is Instagram. Oh how I love Instagram…let me count the ways: 1) Great way to see what’s going on in friends/associates lives 2) Great lurking tool 3) Its Pictures!

This pains me to admit but the first thing I do after thanking the Lord for waking me up is check my Instagram timeline. I know that’s pretty pathetic lol. I’m only 10 days into this fast but I do notice that I'm way more productive. 10 down 11 to go!  Pray for me lol. -Angelle

Flawless Twenty - Fourteen

 
I know we are all familiar with the New Years' cliches such as "New Year, New You" or "This is my year". We are also equally familiar with those "cool people"  who feel it is their job to complain about and ridicule those happy and positive people who proudly share their cliches and positive aspirations lol. I on the other hand can say without a shadow of a doubt this will be my best year to date and I have declared this year "Flawless Twenty-Fourteen!" or "Flawless Fourteen" for short lol. 

This will be an exciting year and I have a lot of changes, goals, and ideas I will put into action from drinking more water to starting business ventures. I am so looking forward to blogging my exciting experiences and sharing the good news, stay tune! 


I would like to give Beyonce' a shout out for putting the word flawless into my daily vocabulary! #IwokeUpLikeDis lol
